I am super excited we finally made it to the Instagram Heaven, the Ice Cream Museum Miami! A lot of you showed interest in the pictures we took, so I decided to put them all together in a post and share my opinion about the museum.
Ice Cream Museum Miami – Is it a real museum?
I would not call it a museum, maybe more of an ice cream gallery. When we purchased tickets we had to pick a specific time to go. Freaking out that we will be late as always, we decided to go early. Turned out that there is no parking and we made it right on time after circling around for so long looking for a parking spot! There was a long line in front of the museum and they were letting people inside in groups.
The whole museum is divided into different rooms/areas and each room has a different theme. The very first room was the room with the sprinkle pool. We couldn’t take any good pictures there because there were a lot of people. We could only stay in the sprinkle pool area a certain amount of time. In the Ice Cream Museum you get ice cream in 3 different rooms. We had chocolate ice cream and melted ice cream (which tasted like vanilla milk!). The last flavor was key lime which I dont like.
Ice Cream Museum Miami – Is is Instagram worthy?
Yes, but bring your camera! My favorite room was the jungle room, where I took the picture on the banana swing. And definitely the balloons outside! I was so excited to take a picture there after seeing so many pictures on Instagram. We just used our phones to take pictures, but I definitely recommend bringing a camera and extra lenses to get the best pictures. The lighting in some of the rooms wasn’t great, so it would have been much easier to edit if we used a camera!
Ice Cream Museum Miami – What I wore
I knew I wanted to wear something colorful I didn’t want it to be pink, because I knew a lot of the rooms are pink. The week before our trip I was browsing at the Nasty Gal 40% off sale and fell in love with this top! It was not only perfect for pictures but I also wanted to get something in lavender for so long! You know it is the color of the year, right? I also had a feeling this color would look good on me. I got it for only $25! Nasty Gal also has many other similar silhouettes in different colors, if you are not crazy about the lavender. I’ve linked my outfit details below as well as some similar tops.
Ice Cream Museum Miami – Is is worth the money?
To be honest, I was a little disappointed and I don’t think I would recommend going unless you go with your kids or you need a good location for pictures. It was definitely fun to see it but I didn’t think it was worth the $38 for a ticket. Raly, Kayla, and I went on a blog trip to Miami for a couple days. We had two events to go to and got tickets to visit the Ice Cream Museum before we leave. I think we were so tired already and overwhelmed from everything else that happened, so we didn’t enjoy it as much as we should have.
If you visited any of the locations of the Museum of Ice Cream, let me know your thoughts about it!
