If you are obsessed with the polka dots trend like I am, you need to see the LOVE IS CALLING exhibition at the Tampa Museum of Art. Get some inspiration by the queen of polka dots herself, Yayoi Kusama.
Raly and I always try to visit the fun local exhibitions. This was one we could’t miss! I am glad we didn’t, because we ended up having a super fun day. Since, we’ve both visited the Tampa Museum of Art multiple times, today we spend most of our time at the Kusama infinity room.

LOVE IS CALLING – Polka Dots
Kusama believes that polka dots represent infinity. She tries to create a feel of infinity with this installation. When we first walked in the room we started getting dizzy. The room is filled with polka dot sculptures and there are mirrors all over it. The sculptures glow in the dark and change colors as you listen to Kusama reading a poem in Japanese. We were only allowed to stay in the room for two minutes at a time. The first time we went in, we took our time to enjoy it.
Of course, we had to take advantage of the awesome installation and get some cute pictures. I was prepared with my matching polka dots dress! We knew the lighting would be tricky, so we brought a professional camera to get better shots. The two minutes we were allowed to stay in room were barely enough to get the camera settings right. LOL So, we had to go back at least five times in order to get the pictures just perfect. It was quite a challenge with my limited photography skills. I think we did pretty good, what do you guys think?
The LOVE IS CALLING exhibition will be in Tampa Museum of Art until February 14, 2019.
